Namco Bandai Games, the company behind the upcoming “Dark Souls 2,” has confirmed that several retailers are now taking pre-orders for the recently-announced black armor edition of the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 video game. According to a report by Game Guru on Sept. 23, both Amazon and GameStop are now accepting reservations for the product on the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360.
The black armor edition of “Dark Souls 2” features a metal casing and official soundtrack CD along with a copy of the open-world action role-playing game. Customers who pre-order the video game will receive the upgraded product at no additional costs when compared to the regular edition. The package is also a part of the collector’s edition, which also adds an art book, cloth map and figurine.
The black armor edition of “Dark Souls 2” will be priced at $59.99 while the collector’s edition has an official price tag of $119.99. The two bundles will be made available for the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 current-generation consoles on March, 11, 2014.
The upcoming video game is also coming to the PC platform. However, it will be released sometime after the launch of the console iterations. From Software, the studio behind the game’s development, also expressed some interests recently in regards to porting “Dark Souls 2” to the forthcoming PS4 and Xbox One next-generation gaming systems.
