A representative at Namco Bandai Games has provided new updates in regards to the availability of the black armor and collector’s editions for the upcoming multiplatform video game, “Dark Souls 2.” According to a report by All That’s Epic on Oct. 11, the publisher revealed that the amount of stock for both products will be limited.
The black armor and collector’s editions of “Dark Souls 2” won’t be made available for purchase in stores. Instead, players will have to pre-order the both products in order to be guaranteed a copy. Furthermore, the publisher is only shipping as much of the two items as customers are pre-ordering.
The black armor edition of “Dark Souls 2” includes a steelbook case, official soundtrack CD along with a copy of the open-world action role-playing game. Players will be able to get a free upgrade from the standard copy of the title by pre-ordering. The collector’s edition, which is priced at $119.99, comes with all the aforementioned contents along with a cloth map and warrior knight figurine.
Namco Bandai Games previously confirmed that “Dark Souls 2” is coming out on March 11, 2011 for the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360. The PC port of the sequel is also coming out sometime later in the same month. The black armor and collector’s editions are only available for the two current-generation consoles.
