The U.K. branch of Namco Bandai Games posted an update on the availability of the black armor and collector’s editions for the forthcoming multiplatform video game, “Dark Souls 2.” According to a report from Videogamer on Dec. 12, the publisher is warning fans that the two special packages are “running low” in stock.
As a result, Namco Bandai Games encouraged prospective customers to “ensure their pre orders are put in place online now” as the products are “flying off the internet shelf at an alarming rate.”
The black armor edition is a free upgrade for customers who pre-order a copy of “Dark Souls 2” in advance. Along with a copy of the open-world action role-playing game, the package also includes a metal case along with a CD containing the official soundtrack. The collector’s edition comes with everything from the black armor edition in addition to a 12-inch figurine featuring the warrior knight, authentic cloth map and collectible art book.
“Dark Souls 2” will be released in Europe on March 14, which is three days after the North American launch. The black armor edition of the sequel has an official price tag of $59.99 while the collector’s edition is priced twice as much at $119.99. The software product is being developed by From Software and will be published by the aforesaid Namco Bandai Games.
