The Heirs to the Sun covenant was once popular amongst the warriors in the past. However, it is now considered a “lost belief.” The group is for players who want to help others cooperatively. You can find some screenshots from “Dark Souls 2” in the slideshow to the left of this article and the description below:

Worship of the sun, now a lost belief, was once widespread amongst great warriors. Its purpose to help other players.

Namco Bandai Games also posted a vague account in regards to the Bell Keepers covenant. The publisher stated that players are viewed as “eternal guardians” to two star-crossed lovers. You can find the statement below:

The twin bells symbolize the bond between two lovers who could never be united. The bell keepers are their eternal guardians.

In addition to Bell Keepers and Heirs to the Sun, the recent multiplayer beta for “Dark Souls 2” also confirmed three more covenants: Blue Sentinels, Brotherhood of Blood and Way of Blue. The final product should feature more groups that will cater to the player’s style in cooperative and competitive online scenarios.

Namco Bandai Games will be releasing “Dark Souls 2” first on the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 on March. 11. The publisher will then launch the PC version later in the same month.
