Dark Hall Mansion announced Sept 8 its latest limited edition Beatles release, "May I Introduce To You" by contemporary artist SHAG, will be available only through a special lottery to take place this week. The company said that it will release the work in conjunction with the Beatles' Apple Corps Ltd. as screen prints this Thursday. The new work is inspired by the Beatles' movie “Yellow Submarine.”
(You can see pictures of the prints in the slide show.)
Each print will be individually numbered and signed by the artist and will measure 20″ x 28″ in size and screen printed. Only 150 standard edition prints will be available worldwide. The standard edition will be priced at $225 and will only be available for purchase through a lottery. Collectors wishing to purchase this edition must register by sending an email with the words “Beatles x SHAG” in the subject line to Dark Hall Mansion. Registration ends at 11:59 p.m. PST Sept. 12. All registered email addresses will be assigned a number and entered into a random drawing. DHM will then notify the 150 collectors with winning numbers.
“SHAG's exceedingly limited print brilliantly showcases both The Beatles and his own unmistakable style,” Dark Hall Mansion said in making the announcement. “Beautifully hued, his print measures a full 20" x 28" capturing the Blue Meanie's worst nightmare-pure unadulterated joy through music!”
The company says anyone who has their number selected in the winning draw and completes a purchase of the DHM standard edition Beatles x SHAG print will also be guaranteed a reserve option to purchase the company's next SHAG release. Two more limited SHAG editions, limited to 50 and 25 pieces each, are available only through the Beatles official website.
