Darius Rucker to play a benefit show for Musicans On Call

Country music star and Low Country native Darius Rucker will lend his star power to a worthy cause. And now you have an opportunity to support his cause and sit front row.

On March 3rd at 8pm Darius will play a benefit concert at The Hard Rock Café in Nashville. The one night concert will benefit Musicians On Call. Musicians On Call is a non-profit organization that brings live and recorded music to the bedsides of patients in healthcare facilities nationwide.

Musicians On Call was founded by Michael Solomon and Vivek Tiwary.  Following a concert, a hospital staff member raised the issue that some of the patients had been unable to attend the performance either because they were in treatment or too sick to leave their rooms. Solomon, Tiwary and the musician went from room to room to play for those patients who had been unable to attend the concert.

The concert will help kick-off Hard Rock International's month-long campaign, March On Stage. The is the sixth year for this campaign that has included past performances by James Taylor and Mark Wills. A portion of the proceeds for the month will benefit Musicians On Call and bring the healing power of music to patients around the country.

Tickets are currently available in reasonable prices ranging from $25 to $125. The $75 and $125 tickets also come with meet and greet passes. Sounds very cool, but if you have the dinero for a jacked up Nashville experience, you can shell out $1000 for the Music Row Tables. This pass includes reserved table seating for 4, with 4 meet and greet passes and $100 Hard Rock Cafe gift certificate.

This is the sixth year for March On Stage, and adds to the list of humanitarian causes that attract this Low Country boy. If you can’t make it to Nashville, look out for Darius on tour with Rascal Flatts.
