Daren Kagasoff, known for his work on ABC Family's The Secret Life Of The American Teenager, has now been chosen to co-star in Fox's upcoming small screen adaptation of Lauren Oliver's Delirium Trilogy.
As reported by The Hollywood Reporter, Kagasoff has been plucked to portray Alex, the forbidden love interest of Lena Holoway (Emma Roberts in the show) who plays the part of a uniformed police officer on the surface but who is an undercover member of the resistance.
Lauren Oliver responded to this casting news on her blog, writing:
The rumors are true! AND I’M SO EXCITED! I think Daren is a really thoughtful, sensitive actor (not to mention totally cute!) and he will be PERFECT for Alex!
Guys… this is starting to feel real!
Kagasoff joins Roberts, Corey Reynolds as resistance leader Lawrence Task, Billy Campbell as Thomas Fineman and Gregg Sulkin as Julian Fineman.
The Hollywood Reporter also indicated that Prison Break's Karyn Usher will pen the script for the pilot.
