Upon awakening this rainy October morning, I lay in my bed just thinking as I normally do before I begin my day. A song was ringing in my spirit and as I turned to my left side I noticed a pain in my right eye. Immediately I told myself, I don’t have time for this today. I have too much to get done. I lay there in my bed and began to speak to my situation. With my eyes closed I said, “Pain cannot reside in an atmosphere of praise. The praises of the Lord are in my aerospace and pain cannot stay here.” As soon as I said that, the pain went away. My friend, pain and sickness has no right to attach itself to God’s people. There is so much power in the praises that comes out of your mouth.
Years ago, I remember reading a book titled, The Untapped Power in Praise by Kenneth Hagin, Jr. I was actually put to the test after reading it. It was a bright sunny day in Aurora, Colorado. Bright and sunny as it was I suffered excruciating pain in my lower abdomen. I decided to go outside for some fresh air. Upon opening the garage door and positioning myself in a chair, I began to sing as loud as I could not caring who heard me. I remember looking up into the sky off and on as I sang. One particular moment I looked up and there was a cloud taking the form of an angel. I stared at the angel cloud and then took my eyes off of it for a moment, looked up again and it was gone. And guess what? So was the pain. I became pain free! I tell you, there is power in praising God. Instead of looking at your situation, look to God. He inhabits the praises of his people. Praise creates an atmosphere for God to come in and work miracles and healings. Enter into his gates with thanksgiving and into his courts with praise and he will meet you there. I dare you to enter into his courts of praise and see what happens!
