Dante's Inferno demo now available for PS3

Abandon all hope, ye who enter.

Although it is still months away from its slated February release date, the demo for Dante's Inferno is now available on the Playstation Network. Those of you with an Xbox 360 will have to wait until December 24th for a downloadable demo on Xbox Live.

Based on the Divine Comedy by Dante Aligheri, Visceral Games' anticipated epic follows Dante battling the hordes of Hell to save his beloved Beatrice who has been kidnapped into the depths of the inferno. It is up to Dante and his holy regiment of weapons to save her and escape a fate worse than death.

The game can also take a completely different path based on your choice to absolve or punish your opponents. You can absolve to forgive their sins, or punish them with brutal vengeance depending on your mood and just how bloodthirsty you are feeling. The demo offers just a taste of what's to come, and judging from the the studio's past projects (Dead Space anyone?), Dante's Inferno sets the stage for intense action and great story.

The full version of the game is set to be released in the next few months, but make sure to grab the demo and go to Hell while you're waiting. The full download is available now on the Playstation Network and the day before Christmas on Xbox Live.
