Danny Jones, singer/songwriter with ties to Memphis entertainment, announces a DVD/CD release party in Nashville. The event is being planned to celebrate The release of the DVD, "Secrets in the Snow," and Danny's song, "Dream Giver," with accompanying soundtrack. The event will be on Feb.8, 2013, at 5:30pm in Nashville. Formal invitations are being sent out to movie producers, actors, Christian recording artists and others that Danny has worked with in the past, or is working with in the present or future. He states that other artists with songs in the movie will be featured also. The address of the event will be listed in the invitations.
Those attending the release party will consist of be a mixture of movie and music industry people. Some of these people include Memphis area entertainers that Danny worked with on the recent Memphis film, "Christmas Ride," in which he provided some of the music.
Danny has worked on ten movies thus far, and says he began working on small independant films about eight years ago, and with time, many new doors are beginning to open for composing in larger budget movies. Danny won the USAGEM award for Contemporary Christian Music Artist of the Year in 2011, and states that he is as much in demand these days as as a vocalist for movies, as composing soundtracks. He says, "It is very nice being able to do both, compose and sing in movies. I see it as a wonderful opportunity to spread the word of God through an avenue that is not always opens for most gospel artists and musicians."
Danny's music has been used in movies such as "In Mysterious Ways, "The Things We Leave Behind," and "Christmas Ride;" all of which are scheduled to be released in 2013. Also, his songs will be used in the following films that are to be produced in 2013. They include "The Waiting Room," "At Ease," and "Miracles in Action." This last film will feature his signature song, "Run."
