Dannii Minogue let out a gasp when she saw her wax figure revealed at the Madam Tussauds Sydney. In a special ceremony on Wednesday the entertainer was honored to see her likeness standing before her. One of the 70 figures that will be incorporated for the new Madam Tussauds location in Sydney, the singer got a sneak peek at the statue before the public can see it.
The waxed figure took over 60 sculptors to make along with 800 hours. Measurements began the process with the entertainer showing up for several fittings to make sure every part of her dimensions were perfect.
Depicting a moment in time, the Dannii Minogue’s figurine was reflecting her time on stage at the National Television Awards in Britain in 2010. The same dress, black and white with a wide skirt, was worn by the figurine and the matching bright red shoes were also on display. The entertainer considered it a very special night as she announced she was pregnant to the audience.
Madame Tussauds Sydney, is opening the 13ths facility in Darling Harbour, while most of the figurines will be of Australian nationality, expect to see plenty of Hollywood faces. Nicole Kidman and Hugh Jackman statues are already calling Tussauds home and famous international entertainers like Lady Gaga will be seen there too when the doors open in April.
