Danielle Staub might be gone from the “Real Housewives of New Jersey,” but she’s definitely not forgotten.
The reality star spoke with Us Magazine about leaving the hit Bravo series that made her a celebrity.
"I'm way too good for this," Staub, 48, told the magazine. "They have used me about as much as I can be used."
Since debuting last year, Staub didn’t exactly make friends with the four other housewives even though she was friends with Jacqueline Laurita at first.
"I think it's time for me to move on and upward," the wannabe singer said. "I don't see any interest for me to be attacked like that." For those who don’t know, Laurita’s daughter Ashley Holmes ripped her extensions out. Teresa Giudice also threatened her during the shocking second season finale.
"I mean, what's left for [the other castmates]? To kill me? Bravo seems to be glorifying their behavior. And I think it's almost like telling children to behave poorly at school, 'It's OK.'"
Don’t worry about Staub; she has big plans for herself. She told the magazine she wants her own show. "I want to be me now," Staub said. "Not me according to other people. Me… A spin-off is absolutely, positively where I'm going."
If she gets a spinoff it would allow her kids [Christine, 16, and Jillian, 12] to be shown as the “wonderful children that they are. I want to be shown as a mother, an artist, a supporter of my charities and the foundations that I'm passionate about. I want to use my platform to speak about the things that I love in my life."
When asked how she felt the show would do without her she had this to say. "The bottom line is, they need me, I don't need them. They don't talk about anything but me. I don't talk about them, at all. I talk about me too! I have no need for them in my life. They have a great need for me to make the show successful. I made it successful."
Life is “fantastic” for her these days. "I am far too busy to be around things that don't make me feel good and people that don't make me feel good."
Just for fun, here’s a hilarious spoof on “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” by YouTube comedian Lisa Nova.
