Actress Danielle Fishel hit back at fat-shaming taunts from weight bullies and slammed them for contributing to the eating disorder anorexia.
"Ppl saying I was FAT at my wedding: You are the worst kind of people on the planet," Fishel tweeted Oct. 22. "I weigh 107 pounds and am 5'1". YOU are the reason anorexia exists."
Fishel, 32, married her longtime boyfriend Tim Belusko, 25, last weekend, and was attacked by Twitter trolls who called her a "fat cougar" for marrying a younger man.
Danielle, who starred on the TV show "Boy Meets World" from 1993 to 2000, was furious at the fat-shaming personal attacks and responded with a series of icy tweets.
Fishel struggled with anorexia during her youth, and once dropped to 89 pounds. She joins a long list of celebrities who have been fat-shamed by the media and by Internet trolls.
Kim Kardashian was on receiving end of vicious fat taunts during her recent pregnancy. She said the cruel fat comments were devastating. "Every day I would hear people criticize me, and it would affect me," she said. "Little by little it would chip away at my soul."
And Mischa Barton, who struggled with drug addiction, confessed that cruel weight comments contributed to her nervous breakdown six years ago.
"It was always ‘She’s too skinny, she must be sick,’ said Barton. "Then it was, ‘She’s too big.’ I was never the right weight.”
