If you are a Daniel Sunjata fan then you'll be happy about the press release today about Sunjata joining the cast of Grey's Anatomy in a recurring role as a love interest for Miranda Bailey (Chandra Wilson). The last time Miranda got her groove on was last season with the flirtatious anaesthesiologist Ben Warren (Jason George) so she's due for some single mom fun.
Daniel Sunjata is a busy man with credits on TV, the Movies and on Broadway. Perhaps best known for his role on "Rescue Me" and being named one of People Magazine's 50 Most Beautiful People, he also was nominated for a Tony as Best Actor in 2003 for his role as a gay baseball player in Richard Greenberg's "Take Me Out".
Katherine Heigl (Izzie Stephens on Grey's) is his current Grey's Anatomy connection as Daniel Sunajata was cast in the role of 'Ranger' in "One for the Money" a Stephanie Plum movie based on the series of books written by Janet Evanovich. Ranger is an x elite forces who is Stephanie's mentor and sometimes love interest. "One for the Money" is in post production and will be in theaters July 8, 2011.

can't believe i am saying this but Miranda was so traumatized by the anesthesiologist not being there during the shooting (which was out of his control since it was his day off) she broke up with him.

I think Miranda and love interest (Sunjata) don't mix. He is too much for a beautiful man for her. She's not his types. And why in heaven name did Shonda make him a nurse! He is more the doctor (HUNK) type. You know what really would be interesting, if Preston Burke (Isaiah Washington) returned for surgeries needing his expertise. Now wouldn't that boost your rating. Shonda, apologize to him and pay him to return. Now this will add FIRE to your rating.!!!!!!!

More the doctor hunk type? For God sakes... Grey's portrayal of doctors is already ridiculous! It is great that he is a nurse!
I really like that he's a nurse too... Their important role in the hospital has really taken a back seat so kudos to male nurses!
