It took Daniel Spohn just 10 seconds to violently knockout Tyler King and earn a spot in “The Ultimate Fighter” house.

Spohn was one of 16 light heavyweights trying to earn a spot in the “TUF” house on the debut episode of “TUF 19” on Wednesday night. Season 19 will air every Wednesday night on FOX Sports 1 and will feature former lightweight champions B.J. Penn and Frankie Edgar as coaches.

A native of Columbus, Ohio, Spohn wasted no time getting the fight started. The 28-year-old blasted the former NFL linemen with a left body kick just four seconds into the fight.

Seconds later, King charged in and Spohn landed a big right hand that sent King flying face-first into the mat. The former Bellator vet jumped on top and landed two more right hands before ref Herb Dean had seen enough and stopped the fight.

“That was one of the nastiest knockouts I have ever seen in my life,” Edgar said on the show. “I have never seen someone’s head fall off the mat that hard.”

With the impressive win, Spohn was picked by B.J. Penn to join his team and will now have a chance to compete for a six-figure UFC contract. The father of four will need to win just two more fights to have a chance to compete in the live finale in Las Vegas on July 6.
