Are you a Civil War enthusiast or avid collector? Then you may want to consider adding a stop at The Daniel Lady Farm to your weekend agenda. This Saturday and Sunday, June 28 and 29, marks the 41st Annual Civil War & Collectors’ Show.
For four decades, travelers from far and locals alike have made this event a highly sought-out pursuit to look forward to each year. A true collectors’ haven, this two day event boasts thousands of Civil War artifacts and related items to be on display and available for purchase. Expected finds to uncover include personal items from those who lived during the Civil War era, documents, clothing, letters, prints, swords, firearms, artillery shells, books, photographs, cartes de visite and even GAR and Confederation reunion medals. It’s just like being at a great big Civil War Museum where you can actually touch the majority of the items and even purchase them if you so wish to.
The 41st Annual Civil War & Collectors’ Show will be held on the grounds of the historic Daniel Lady Farm. Acquired in 1999 for restoration and preservation by the Gettysburg Battlefield Preservation Association, this historic site has great cultural and historical significance and played a direct role during the three-day Battle of Gettysburg.
The 41st Annual Civil War & Collectors’ Show will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday. Regular admission is $7. Children 12 and under are free. The Daniel Lady Farm is located at 2638 Emmitsburg Road, Gettysburg, PA, 17325. For more information, or to purchase tickets GBPA at 717-334-2350.
