Daniel Dae Kim to be featured at University of Hawaii's commencement

'Hawaii Five-0' star, Daniel Dae Kim, who portrays the cop-turned-task-force-member, Chin Ho Kelly, will be a guest speaker this weekend at the University of Hawaii at Manoa’s commencement ceremony, according to bizjournals.com.

Referred to as ‘DDK’ by a large part of the 'H50' fanbase, Kim will be the featured undergraduate degree speaker at the Stan Sheriff Center for the 103rd Annual Commencement Exercises. The ceremony will also feature the CEO of the Office of Hawaiian Affairs, Kamanaopono Crabbe, as the advanced degree speaker.

Kim is a graduate of New York University, where he has a master’s of fine arts degree, and according to bizjournals.com, recently, he served as a member of the U.S. Presidential Delegation for the United States at the World Expo in Korea as a cultural envoy.

DDK is fresh off of a successful fourth season of 'Hawaii Five-0,' and will be returning for the series’ fifth season, which will air this fall.

'Hawaii Five-0' airs Friday nights at 9/8c on CBS.
