Before he was cast as Felix in The Twilight Saga: New Moon, Daniel Cudmore already had some considerable experience living in franchise-land thanks to his work as Colossus in X2 and X-Men: The Last Stand.
Seven years after his last X-Men stand, so to speak, Cudmore's heading back to the franchise that started it all!
As detailed by Collider, Cudmore will reprise his role as Piotr Rasputin/Colossus for the X-Men: First Class sequel X-Men: Days Of Future Past. He's one of a few carryovers from the prior X-Men films (others include Patrick Stewart as Professor X, Ian McKellen as Magneto, Halle Berry as Storm and Hugh Jackman as Wolverine).
Cudmore tweeted in response to the news, "Thanks for all the love for my return to the Xmen universe! I'm so pumped for this movie!"
Additionally, fellow Twilight Saga alum Booboo Stewart, who portrayed Seth Clearwater, will also appear in the new X-Men flick, though his exact role is as-yet-unknown.
