Daniel Bryan stripped of WWE belt during Monday Night Raw

According to a June 9 report from Mstars News, the results are in from the WWE Monday Night Raw card that went down in Minneapolis. The episode opened with Triple H and WWE head honcho Stephanie McMahon walking out to the ring to announce that WWE Heavyweight Champ Daniel Bryan will be unable to compete at next month's Money in the Bank pay-per-view event.

McMahon bashed Bryan for being nothing but a "B-plus" player, so they said they didn't expect him to make a quick recovery. Since Bryan won't be ready to go at Money in the Bank, he was stripped of the belt. McMahon announced that there will be a ladder match to determine the new WWE Heavyweight Champion of the World.

Alberto Del Rio and Randy Orton are the first two contestants to enter the ladder match. A new heavyweight champion will be crowned at next month's Money in the Bank special event, due to Bryan being on the sideline. Bryan is legitimately injured, and he had to have neck surgery to fix a lingering injury.

Bryan is expected to return by late-summer. Triple H also discussed his feelings about The Shield's breakup during the opening segment of WWE Monday Night Raw. Following his rant about Bryan, Triple H talked about why Seth Rollins smashed Roman Reigns in the back to complete the breakup of The Shield.

Triple H said he always believed in Rollins, and that the remaining members of The Shield, Dean Ambrose and Reigns, would take on Bray Wyatt and the Wyatt Family, in a six-man tag-team match. In order to avoid having it be a handicap match, The Shield will need to find a new member. Who will it be?

That will be revealed later in the June 9 episode of WWE Monday Night Raw. Elsewhere, Sheamus took on Bad News Barrett to determine who else would be entered into the Money in the Bank ladder match for the WWE heavyweight championship. The June 9 episode of WWE Monday Night Raw aired on the USA Network.
