Danica Patrick out of the Nationwide Series race has fans talking this week, as WZZM News reported this Saturday, Feb. 23, that the talented race car driver was out of Nationwide race at Daytona International Speedway due to an engine problem with her car. However, Patrick isn’t phased about succeeding in the upcoming Daytona 500.
Danica Patrick out of the race became a trending topic after an engine problem with her race car this week caused the driver to take it to the garage with 88 laps still remaining in the Nationwide Series race.
Patrick was the first woman to win a Sprint Cup pole, and she will start on the pole for the Daytona 500 on Sunday. The race car with the engine trouble, fortunately, will not be the same car she is planning to use for the Great American Race, adds the report.
"Well that's concerning, when it starts," she said during an interview while her crew was trying to restart the car in the garage.
Danica Patrick added that the car wasn’t able to keep up with the speed of the pack, and knew something was wrong. She is no doubt looking forward to the upcoming Daytona 500, so stay tuned.
