Danica Patrick fastest in Daytona 500 practice runs; 75/1 odds look good (Photos)

Danica Patrick is making an early statement down in Florida, she wants to be the pole leader at the 2013 Daytona 500. According to Yahoo! Sports on Feb. 16, Patrick turned the fastest lap Saturday in a pair of practice sessions as she hit 196 m.p.h. at the Daytona International Speedway during Daytona qualifying runs.

Get ready boys, this girl means business!

''Everything that we do is to make sure that we do whatever we can to be on the pole,'' Patrick said. ''That is what we all are shooting for.''

Tony Stewart, Patrick's teammate and car co-owner, ran second fastest today while Kyle Busch was third, Dale Earnhardt Jr. fourth and Jamie McMurray finished fifth overall.

Patrick comes into the Daytona 500 at 75/1 odds.

Hmm, that would sure be a nice payout if she can pull off the win next Sunday.

Patrick may be known by many fans as the "Go Daddy" girl and a part-time model, but she could make history and put all the rumblings to rest that she isn't good enough to compete in NASCAR if she can put up a good showing at Daytona.
