Danetra Moore, who rose to fame on season 5 of BET's Sunday Best, is preparing for the September 2nd release of her Tyscot Records release, Light In the Dark, by releasing the inspiring and uplifting single, "Only God Can". "Only God Can" is Moore's personal testimony as she had to learn to trust and depend on God after a dark period in her life. "The song was written at a really low point in my life", says Moore, "and I really had to learn to just give it all over to God".
Combining Moore's diverse musical background, Light In the Dark is a musical tour de force filled with music that will uplift, encourage, and inspire all who listen. Each track tells the story of how God has truly made a way for her. "Only God Can" is a fitting ballad that highlights God's awesome works in the lives of His children. The song is a perfect introduction of what’s to come from the ministry of Danetra Moore. If you ask Moore, Light In the Dark is more than just an album. It’s a call to all people to look for the positives in the tough situations that life will bring. She is a witness that God can take and make it work out for the good. Even though Moore is young, she knows that her work for God doesn’t have an age limit and she looks forward to inspiring and encouraging all those that she meets through her testimony and the gifts that God has given her.
Hailing from a family of great singers, preachers, and musicians, Moore was encouraged to use the gifts that God gave her at a young age. The list of artists she has shared the stage with in song and acting reads like a "Who’s Who" of entertainment including: Marvin Sapp, Jennifer Holliday, Angie Stone, Will Downing, Ledisi, Angela Winbush, Cherelle, Glen Jones, Lenny Williams, Sherrie Jones-Moffet, Vicki Winans, Neyo, Byron Cage, Kirk Franklin, Fred Hammond, Stephen Hurd, Donald Lawrence, Jonathan Nelson, Ann Nesby, Paul Porter, Kierra Sheard, The Williams Brothers, Brian Wilson, Bebe and CeCe Winans and many more. She’s also appeared on several national television shows including The Trumpet Awards and most recently, The David Letterman Show with Ledisi.
