ABC's "Dancing with the Stars" announced the first celebrity to be eliminated from the competition during Monday nights performance round which aired Sept 23, 2013. So, who was voted off and how was it determined? I'll try to explain.
Week one of "Dancing with the Stars" 2013 fall edition the "stars" and their pro partners danced for viewer votes and a judges score. This score carried over to week two and the celebs danced once again for viewer votes and a second set of scores from the "DWTS" judges.
The judges scores from week one and week two were combined and added to viewer votes from week one of "Dancing with the Stars". The judges score counted as 1/2 and viewer votes counted as 1/2. The person with the lowest combined score was voted off "DWTS" during week two of competition.
Now, viewer votes from week two of "Dancing with the Stars" will carry over to next weeks elimination and the "stars" will dance once again for a score from the judges. Those two scores will be combined with each score counting as 1/2 of the overall total.
The celeb with the lowest score will be voted off. Viewers will vote from home on this performance and that vote will carry over to the next week of "DWTS". It's confusing I know but we will soon get the hang of it.
So now that the elimination process is about as clear as mud, who was voted off "Dancing with the Stars" on Sept 23?
When all was said and done, Keyshawn Johnson and pro partner Sharna Burgess were eliminated from "DWTS" during the second week of competition.
Keyshawn was upbeat about his "Dancing with the Stars" elimination saying, "The fact that I got to experience dance and learn what dancing is all about was something amazing."
