Season 16 of “Dancing with the Stars” has come to a close and now starts the rumors on what changes will take place for next season. According to The New York Post on May 21, two of the three judges may not be returning in September.
Carrie Ann Inaba and Len Goodman are said to be on their way out as their contracts are now up. “No one has a confirmed contract yet,” a source for the show said. “I think Bruno [Tonioli] will be back, but Carrie Ann [Inaba] and Len [Goodman] are probably gone.”
Nothing is set in concrete yet but supposedly this may be just one of the big changes headed for the upcoming season of “Dancing with the Stars.” However, it is way too soon to say for sure as the network hasn’t decided yet on who may stay and who will not stick around. Many rumors will abound from now until September.
It was announced recently that the dancing competition has been cut down to just Monday nights instead of the usual two nights. As for the elimination process, those will be announced at the beginning of each show. This will certainly be a huge change from the previous 16 seasons. If Len Goodman and Carrie Ann Inaba do leave, the producers may try to get someone younger sitting at the judges’ table.
Until ABC or the judges' themselves confirm the news, anything you hear will most likely be just speculation.
Tom Bergeron is said to be staying on as the host. However, no official word yet on whether Brooke Burke-Charvet will be standing next to him as co-host.
Are you happy with all of these changes on “Dancing with the Stars?”
