'Dancing with the Stars' to replace Brooke Burke with Erin Andrews

It seemed pretty shocking when the news hit that "Dancing with the Stars" fired Brooke Burke-Charvet, but it appears they already had a replacement in mind. According to Wet Paint on Feb. 22, "Dancing with the Stars" is expected to announce on Monday that Erin Andrews will join the show as Burke's replacement.

The press release sent out by "Dancing with the Stars" made it sound like it was unfortunate that Brooke Burke was leaving the show but then Burke went to Twitter and left the message that she was "cut" from the show before the season started and was just told that morning.

It sounds like it may have really taken her by surprise since "Dancing with the Stars" apparently had Fox Sports personality Erin Andrews planned before they even told Burke that her services would no longer be needed.

Erin Andrews will be "Dancing with the Stars" fourth co-host, following Burke, Samantha Harris and Lisa Canning. It also provides a clear way that the competition show chooses their co-hosts. Burke, who won season seven replaced Harris and now Andrews, who placed third in season 10 will replace Burke.

The official announcement of Erin Andrews joining "Dancing with the Stars" as the co-host is supposed to come Monday and then the next Tuesday, the entire season 18 cast will be announced on "Good Morning America" on March 4. The "Dancing with the Stars" season then kicks off on March 17.
