‘Dancing with the Stars’ season 19 cast roundup: Rumors and confirmations

Season 19 of the still popular dance competition show “Dancing with the Stars” is just weeks away from premiering in ABC. That means it’s time for the celebrity cast rumors to heat up but we have more than just rumors. We have confirmations on some of the celebrity cast as well as a few rumors of share. The latest addition is the handsome hunk from “General Hospital, Anthony Sabato Je., according to US Weekly on Aug. 27.

ABC typically doesn’t comment on casting rumors for this series either way but Sabato’s appearance has also been confirmed by E! Online. Not a fan of “General Hospital”? You may have seen this Italian-born hottie in ads for Calvin Klein.

E! News, through a source close to the show also confirms the “Pretty Little Liars” star Janel Parrish and Olympic hurdler and bobsledder Lolo Jones will also be stepping onto the ballroom floor this season. Yesterday, Hollywood Life was first to share the news that YouTube sensation, Bethany Mota, 18, and “Mean Girls” hunk Jonathan Bennett had also signed for Season 19. The site also confirmed the signing of designer Betsey Johnson, 72, “Back to the Future” and “Switched at Birth” actress, Lea Thompson, and “Duck Dynasty” teenager, Sadie Robertson, 18.

That’s it for the confirmed cast of Season 19 of “Dancing with the Stars”. Now it is time for the rumors.

There has been noise for quite a while that last season’s ‘Bachelorette” Andi Dorfman and her fiancé Josh Murray would compete against one another. Café Mom over at The Stir says rumor is alive and kicking. Country singer Jessie James Decker is also rumored to be a contestant as is Kacy Catanzaro of “American Ninja Warrior.” Real Housewife Kandi Burruss and soccer player Tim Howard have also been mentioned.

Former pro dancer and two-time champion Julianne Hough returns to the series but as a fourth judge this season. She’ll sit alongside the three original judges: Len Goodman, Bruno Tonioli and Carrie Ann Inaba.

The professional dancers were announced earlier this month on “Good Morning America.” They include Julianne’s brother Derek Hough and longtime family friend Mark Ballas as well as Cheryl Burke, Val Chmerkovskiy, Karina Smirnoff, Tony Dovolani, Witney Carson, Artem Chigvinstev, Allison Holker, Keo Mostepe, Peta Murgatroyd and Emma Slater. Just announced, Sharna Burgess will also be back as the thirteenth pro.

The full celebrity cast will be announced on “Good Morning America” on Sept 4. Season 19 of “Dancing with the Stars” kicks off on Monday, Sept. 15. Check out the slideshow for photos of some of the confirmed and rumored cast of the show.
