'Dancing with the Stars' says goodbye to NeNe Leakes

After a seven week run, NeNe Leakes and her partner Tony Dovolani were voted off “Dancing with the Stars” Monday. The popular reality star received rave reviews as a competitor for the show; however, her rendition of the tango just couldn't keep her in the competition.

NeNe’s departure from “DWTS” is just coming off the heels of a very controversial reunion show for the “Real Housewives of Atlanta”. The reunion show has received a lot of backlash for featuring the fight between Porsha Williams and Kenya Moore. NeNe has received a lot of criticism herself for her antics during the reunion and how she handled her former BFF, Cynthia Bailey. Was technique NeNe's downfall, or did her image on “RHOA” play a role in her elimination?

There are two sides to NeNe Leakes and depending on which reality show you’re watching, you may get a different one. On the “Real Housewives of Atlanta”, NeNe appears to be slightly haughty and hedonistic. She’s never turned down an opportunity to remind her cast mates that they are déclassé’. However, on “Dancing with the Stars”, she is energetic and fun to watch. One might even say she’s pleasant.

Although NeNe was voted off, the larger-than-life reality TV star seemed to be in good spirits and was very proud of how far she has come. “It was a great, amazing, positive experience for me, “she told Good Morning America. She went on to say she never imagined getting as far as she did in the competition. As George Stephanopoulos stated, NeNe put so much emotion into her dance performance and fans were able to see those emotions come to the surface. She has a lot to be proud of.

Now that NeNe has put “Dancing with the Stars” behind her the question still remains, will she return to the “RHOA” next season? Earlier in the week, she told Arsenio Hall on his late-night talk show she is grateful for what the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” has done for her career, but says being on the show may not be worth it.

“For me, it’s like a blessing and a curse. It has definitely opened up so many doors of opportunity for me. I have been able to do some of everything just for being on this platform. It can be very negative, very draining, but also it can put a lot of money in your pocket—not just the show, like other things."

Should NeNe return next season?
