'Dancing with the Stars' recap: Nicole Scherzinger soars, Chad Ochocinco strips

We begin this episode of "Dancing with the Stars" with a revelation by host / funnyman Tom Bergeron -- each one of these stars has led the viewer vote at some point during this season. That means everyone has a chance! (Well, sort of -- Nicole is still loved the most by the judges.)

Ballroom Round

Erin Andrews: We begin Monday night with a beautiful Viennese waltz by Erin, who took Maksim's choreography and turned it into something that truly told a story. It's going to be a difficult journey for the ESPN broadcaster to make it to the end, primarily since Nicole and Evan already seem to be "locked in" by many as the final two.

Nicole Scherzinger: All right, so raise your hand if you're surprised that Nicole Scherzinger got a perfect score tonight for a tango. I know I sound cynical about the Pussycat Doll, and I really don't mean to be -- she is a great dancer, but she's almost so good that she is difficult to root for in comparison to some of the other people in the competition.

Chad Ochocinco: There's a big part of me that really wants to root for Chad, especially since he is (as Len pointed out) the only person in the competition with no dance experience. Thankfully, his waltz was one of most beautiful ones we've seen on the show. Unlike some of the other dancers (namely Nicole and Evan), there really seems to be the most chemistry here with these two.

Evan Lysacek: This was a dance that really allowed Evan to show off his personality, since it was a fun foxtrot that actually proved he can be a little bit goofy. The judges of course loved it, and his score of 29 gave him the second-best score of the ballroom round behind Nicole.

Latin Round

Erin: First of all, it was surprising to see the show talk about the stalking incident of last summer. This is a pretty light-hearted show generally, but I applaud the show for talking about how the show can be empowering for people in tough times. That said, this dance was really well-done, especially when you consider how difficult the song was to dance to. The funniest part? Seeing the censors cut out whatever Bruno tried to say.

Nicole: We got a package about Nicole in Hawaii, and then we saw a cha-cha that everyone in the room loved except for me and Len. I just didn't really feel that it felt much like a cha-cha, even though it was a fun dance. Nicole loses out her battle

Chad: What's the 25, judges? I think the crew was a little bit hard on Chad with this samba -- it may not have had as many of the moves as everyone else in the competition, but it still brought the entertainment. Plus, Chad took off his shirt at the end.

(We then had a goofy preview of next week -- Kate Gosselin will fly! Jake Pavelka will waltz with Vienna Girardi! Buzz Aldrin will do something involving the moon! Are you excited?)

Evan: Was this dance ever fierce! In what may be one of my favorite paso dobles ever on the show, Evan and Anna brought out theatrics in what was a dance perfect for "Twilight," "The Vampires Diaries," or any of those other blood-sucking favorites out there. A great way to end the show.
