"Dancing With The Stars" lost another fan favorite Monday night as Billy Dee Williams eliminated himself. On April 1, Reality TV World announced that Williams would no longer be competing in "DWTS" because of a chronic back problem.
Although Williams certainly didn't land high on the leaderboard, he was loved by fans and by his dancing partner, Emma Slater. Billy Dee left the competition due to a chronic back condition that was causing him pain. Unable to keep up with the practice schedule, Billy Dee Williams thought it best to recover and bowed out of the race for the mirror ball trophy.
Williams says he won't forget the experience he had while competing on "Dancing With The Stars." Likewise, his coach Emma Slater has said Williams left a mark on her as well. Billy Dee planned to dedicate his next dance to his grandchildren but is no longer able to compete.
There was a chance that Williams might be sent home this week anyway. Rather than wait and possibly see someone else go, he chose to volunteer for elimination this week.
With some of the weaker dancers already having been eliminated, competition on "Dancing With The Stars" will certainly pick up soon. With that, the dances will also become more challenging and a whole lot more fun to watch.
