When it comes to this season's run of Dancing with the Stars, the line-up is full of criminal minds, keeping the competition steep when it comes to keeping up with the stars. But tonight's biggest crtique for dancer-competitors had less to do with footwork and more to do with posture.

Competitors Michael Irvin and Donny Osmond were seeking applause but finding slumped shoulders getting in their way. What's a dancer to do?

Tonight's show, featured Olympic snowboarder Louie Vito parading around in posture-perfecting get-up compliments of partner Chelsie Hightower. The get-up got Louie's shoulders back and even won him a second-place part in the dance relay, but fellow Dancing with Stars compadres Irvin and Osmond were left with a little slouch to work on over the long haul. But what's a star to do?

Posture professional Janice Novak. says posture should be key priority for everyone since it affects how you look, how you feel and how others see you - Quite the importance for judge-scrutinized, Dancing with the Stars competitors.

"Poor posture is the number one cause of back and neck discomfort and can lead to a lifetime of annoying aches and pains," says Novak. "By improving your posture, you improve the health and comfort of your spine. By standing tall you can stop the rounding over that occurs as we age, causing you to shrink in stature."

We can see where this would help on the dance floor. In order to work your posture, experts encourage focus on the traps and even hip stretches. Athletes like Irvin would benefit from a pre-workout hip stretch series for better posture. In addition to stretching core stabilizing muscles, working the traps can help keep Dancing with the Stars' stars straight-up on point.

The show will feature a special night and show on Wednesday, September 23 when using the current competition to pay respects on the dance floor to the late Patrick Swayze.

So what, this reality TV show is so scripted that the judges have resorted to some game like "rock, paper, scissors"? Rock wins ... we're all condescending jerks tonight. Their score and critique of Michael Irvin was so blatantly choreographed it would have been comical if not so cruel.

thought the same thing. boyfriend thinks they made up their minds before he came on - too many football players winning??? i thought he was amazing and took the set-up well.
