The “Dancing With the Stars” voting has taken some viewers by surprise and Monday night was no different. While some people were expecting James Maslow to go home, it appears that the time was up for Charlie White as he was eliminated. There is still reason for James Maslow to worry though as fans are reporting that their votes didn't appear to go through after the competition. According to Reality TV Magazine on Tuesday, the fans are alleging there were issues with the voting system with some viewers suggesting the show was manipulating the fan votes.
Some fans who were voting for James Maslow and his partner Peta Murgatroyd were not actually able to cast their ballots by offering proof the votes went to Meryl Davis. Other viewers said they didn't get their vote counted at all.
The “Dancing With the Stars” producers apparently are aware of the issues from last night’s show. Looking to figure out the issue (or if there is one) they are trying to decipher what might have happened. According to RumorFix on Tuesday, fans have been posting images of the ballots going to the wrong star even after they choose James Maslow for their vote. It's shocking to see the screenshot proof that the voting mix up gave Meryl Davis votes when they actually voted for someone else. It raises big flags about the process.
“Dancing With the Stars” has never been completely clear on how they calculate the viewer’s votes with judge's score and the variable of the producer's decisions. While the input of the fans has always been important, this year more than ever there have been complaints about the system.
Will “Dancing With the Stars” correct this situation? Hopefully they will as there has already been some concerns about previous weeks, but with the screen shots from fans as proof the voting needs to be reviewed and any technical issues addressed.
