The first cut is the always the deepest, especially when you are the first contestant sent home on “Dancing With the Stars”. Unfortunately for Keyshawn Johnson, he didn’t survive Latin night and won’t return for week three of DWTS.
The first elimination of “Dancing With the Stars” said goodbye to the 41-year-old wide receiver. Keyshawn Johnson’s combined scores and viewers’ votes weren’t enough to keep his football feet grounded to the ballroom floor. However, he loved his time on the show with dance partner Sharna, as he had never even “bopped his head to music in the car”. Since the NFL star was the first DWTS dancer to leave, Keyshawn will undoubtedly reappear for the season finale and the ESPN spoof, “Dance Center”.
For Latin night, the DWTS teams performed the Samba, the Jive and the Paso Doble, which left Bill Nye and Tyne, who danced the Paso, at the bottom of the leaderboard, but with overwhelming audience support. Amber and Derek rocked the Jive and remained one point in the lead of the remaining couples.
The one-night, two-hour format, of “Dancing With the Stars” returns next Monday night on ABC.
