Dancing with the Stars Results Show
When the Dancing with the Stars Results Show started, my favorite dancing Christian underdogs, Kathy Ireland and Tom DeLay shared the bottom spot on the judge's leader board, scoring 18 points each, only one point behind the next four couples who had 19 points each. However, voters at home had the opportunity to shake things up a bit, which is what the results shows are all about.
Who Stays and Who Goes?
It was no surprise that the top three couples were pronounced safe at the beginning of the show, but 11 couples remained in jeopardy. Would there be any surprises as the rest of the couples' results were revealed? There weren't any big surprises as the bottom four were announced and Tom DeLay and Kathy Ireland were in those bottom four contestants.
Tom DeLay - Safe!
One problem Cheryl Burke revealed she has had with her partner Tom DeLay was getting him to stop smiling. Tom DeLay wasn't smiling when he commented on his stumble last week explaining, "It was either grab her and hold her, or drop her on her rear end, and I panicked." Whatever they are doing is working as Tom DeLay and Cheryl Burke were told they were safe, leaving three contestants in their wake.
Kathy Ireland - Beauty and Grace on the Dance Floor
As Kathy Ireland waited to hear the results, she wore a look of resignation on her face. Samantha said to her, "You were the lowest scorer last night, but the judges said you could improve. Did the viewers give you a chance to improve?" The fans didn't give Ireland that chance. As Ireland was sent to dance her last dance with partner Tony Dovolani, Samantha told her, "You have brought such beauty and grace to this dance floor."
Dancing with the Stars Variety Show
The result shows of "Dancing with the Stars" have basically become variety shows. While the dancers waited to hear their fates, guest stars Joss Stone, Selena Gomez and a marching band provided musical interludes. Selena Gomez and The Scene were on hand to promote Selena's new album Kiss & Tell which just released on September 29, 2009. Wearing a cute shimmery silver mini-jumpsuit, the Christian actress and singer from Disney's "Wizards of Waverly Place" sang her new single "Falling Down" which was released on August 21, 2009.
A Word About the Underdogs
Say what you want about Tom Delay. He has come across as good-natured, determined, charming, hard working, and an all-around nice guy on "Dancing with the Stars." I think some people who might not be fans of his politics have become fans of his sincere commitment on the dance floor. And Kathy Ireland did bring a refined, ladylike elegance to the dance floor which proved too reserved for the judges and America.

Comments
:-)
Absolutely. Regardless of politics, no one can deny Tom's dedication on this dance show. And Kathy conducted herself with grace and dignity this season.
