“Dancing with the Stars” Jack Osbourne had a rough 2012. Just two weeks after he and his wife Lisa welcomed their first child, he learned he had Multiple Sclerosis. In an Oct. 25 account on Wetpaint, the young man talks about living with the potentially life threatening disease.
Jack and his professional dance partner Cheryl Burke recently appeared on Access Hollywood where they watched a playback of the emotionally moving segment Jack taped for his Most Memorable Year clip on “DWTS.” Jack said it was a bit awkward watching the piece. The producer at “DWTS” is a good friend of his and kind of tricked him into that reflective moment.
Normally, he doesn’t really think much about having MS. He likens it to having braces – you know they are there but you don’t wake up each morning with your first thought being about them.
The type of MS Jack has is called relapsing remitting MS. That means that it flares up from time to time and then subsides. The type of care you take of yourself and your treatment help determine whether or not the illness progresses. With proper care, Jack expects to live a long, healthy and happy life. He is living in the moment and feeling great except for being worn out from his “Dancing with the Stars” rehearsals – like everyone else.
Tune in Monday Oct. 28 for week 7 of “Dancing with the Stars” and check back frequently for updates and news.
