'Dancing with the Stars:' Evan Lysacek done with Johnny Weir feud

Evan Lysacek was recently called a few choice words by fellow Olympic skater Johnny Weir, but the "Dancing with the Stars" contestant has decided to more or less prevent himself from firing back.

In a new statement to "Entertainment Tonight," Lysacek offers up his regrets for starting the feud by insinuating the Weir didn't deserve to be on the "Stars on Ice" tour:

"Johnny Weir is an accomplished and talented skater, and I've skated alongside him as part of Team USA for many years. Since the Olympics, I've dealt with Johnny's questioning my integrity and sexuality, and I've never spoken out on my own behalf no matter how hurtful those things may have been.

"I let my personal feelings cloud my judgment in how I answered a journalist's question about Stars on Ice and Johnny that I should never have answered. I should have known better. Best wishes and congratulations to Johnny as he opens the new season of Ice Theatre of NY and I wish him well in all of his future endeavors."

Weir, meanwhile, told People Magazine on Thursday that the two parties are "at war."

I LET MY PERSONAL FEELINGS CLOUD MY JUDGEMENT? He is not sorry about his comments, he is sorry that all these people are upset with him and he's trying to save face. He does really feel this way and he can hide behind his PR machine and make apologies all he wants, but he still meant it. No wonder Johnny has called it war. He insulted him, by saying that Johnny wasn't a good skater and if Lysacek was told that by Johnny, everyone would have called him out. Don't apologize if you mean it.
