'Dancing with the Stars': Erin Andrews gets apology from Elisabeth Hasselbeck

The internet has exploded in the past 24 hours with a report about Elisabeth Hasselbeck's recent comments on "The View" about "Dancing with the Stars" performer Erin Andrews' decision to wear "revealing outfits" for her performances. Here is what the controversial TV panelist said on Tuesday:

“I mean, in some way if I’m him, I’m like, ‘Man! I just could’ve waited 12 weeks and seen this — a little bit less — without the prison time!’”

Immediately following this incident, Erin called it a "slap in the face" and a number of her "Dancing" friends stood up for her. Evan Lysacek is "so disappointed that someone would attack [Erin] after all she's been though," and partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy even went as far as to call her "stupid."

Now, Elisabeth is taking the opportunity to apologize for the remarks. Speaking on "The View" Wednesday, Hasselbeck pretty much backtracked on everything she said after having a discussion with her daughter about it:

“She’s so cute, she said to me, ‘Mommy, why don’t you just call Erin and tell her you’re sorry? So, thankfully, I listened to her — she’s a wise little girl — and I did. So, I’m really sorry, and I wanted to offer that publicly too, even though I did follow that advice.”
