Several contestants for season 16 of “Dancing with the Stars” have been disclosed by TMZ on Feb. 24. For the first time, a former “American Idol” contestant will be dancing in the ballroom.
ABC has not yet released the names of the contestants but sources close to the show say that “American Idol” season five contestant Kellie Pickler has signed on for the new season of DWTS, according to the website.
Those same sources also told TMZ that joining Kellie on the dance floor will be the much-hinted-at “Bachelor” Sean Lowe, 2012 Olympic gold medalist in gymnastics Aly Raisman and country music singer Wynonna Judd.
The network doesn’t comment on casting rumors. It adds to the excitement of the official announcement. The formal cast announcement will be made on Feb. 26 so check back to get the rest of the details as they become available.
