Dancing With the Stars made a big splash on the Red Carpet at the 2010 Emmy Awards. Host Brooke Burke and judge Carrie Ann Inaba, plus past competitors Kelly Osbourne, Mario Lopez and Kate Gosselin all dazzled fans as they made their way to the Nokia Theatre for the 62nd Annual Emmy Awards, hosted by SNL alum Jimmy Fallon.
Brooke Burke dazzled in a stunning and strapless white gown, while Carrie Ann Inaba, Kelly Osbourne and Kate Gosselin all chose basic black for the evening of elegance. Kelly Osbourne looked especially slim and svelte and was all smiles as she helped to report on fashions for E’s Live From the Red Carpet show, hosted by Ryan Seacrest. Mario Lopez looked equally as dazzling in a contemporary two-button black tuxedo.
Co-host Brooke Burke looked stunning on the Red Carpet. The busy mom competed with partner Derek Hough in season seven of DWTS. She eventually won and took home the coveted mirrorball trophy. Brooke took to Twitter to express her feelings about the Emmy Awards and said, “Fingers crossed for DWTS. I’m excited about the nomination.” She added, “About to walk the red carpet. 1200 limos arriving today, it’s crazy. Gorgeous day in downtown LA!” Kelly Osbourne was a total stunner and head-turner on the Red Carpet. She competed on Dancing With the Stars in its ninth season, and finished a very respectable third place with her partner Louis Van Amstel. She sent out the following tweet from the Red Carpet, “Wow! I have never had so many people talk about my dress before. Without sounding up myself, I really feel beautiful. This is weird.” Mario Lopez also graced the Emmy Awards Red Carpet. He danced with partner Karina Smirnoff on the third season of DWTS, and came in 2nd place, losing out to Emmitt Smith and Cheryl Burke. Surprisingly, Kate Gosselin, who was partnered with Tony Dovolani in season ten, also walked the Red Carpet, as did Carrie Ann Inaba who has been a judge on Dancing With the Stars since season one. She was also last year’s co-host with The Bachelor’s Chris Harrison for TV Guide’s Emmy pre-show. This year, she walked the Red Carpet solely as a guest and sent out the following tweet, “Wow…doing the red carpet. Tried to stop by and see friends at TV Guide, but unfortunately they weren’t very cordial. Ahh, Hollywood.” She also said, “I wonder if in the reality competition show category, someone other than The Amazing Race might win…it would be nice. I just believe in sharing.”
Dancing With the Stars is nominated in two big categories for a 2010 Emmy Award. Its strongest competition comes from perennial favorite The Amazing Race and its past Emmy-winning host Phil Keoghan.
