Season 18 of “Dancing with the Stars” will return to ABC in March 2014 and the rumors regarding contestants have begun to fly. The Mirror announced on Dec. 29 that model/actress/reality star Kelly Brooke is being considered for a slot on the show.
Brook appeared on the British version of the show, “Strictly Come Dancing” in 2007 in series 5. She would be the first contestant to appear on both versions of the show if she is accepted. Brook withdrew from competition in week 9 following her father’s death. She also competed in 2008 on the “Strictly Come Dancing Christmas Special.”
The 34 year old lingerie model also worked as one of three judges on Britain’s “Dirty Dancing: The Time of Your Life,” a dance competition show that paid tribute to the movie “Dirty Dancing.”
It seems Brook has quite a background in dance and if she is chosen as a contestant, could raise the bar on the dance floor. Both Len Goodman and Bruno Tonioli work as judges on “Strictly Come Dancing” and Dancing with the Stars.” They will be familiar with the actress’s abilities which could work for or against her.
Australian pop singer Cody Simpson revealed he had an offer to be a contestant on season 18 as revealed by Wetpaint on Dec. 14.
“Dancing with the Stars” will be back in March 2014. Until then, check back often for news, updates and spoilers as they become available.
