Jersey Shore star Mike "The Situation" will reportedly compete on Dancing With the Stars season 11, but can he 'beat da beat' against the competition if he's not on a club dance floor?
In what has to be one of the worst-kept secrets in reality tv, half of the DWTS celebrity lineup has been leaked five days before what's to be an anti-climatic live press conference on ABC next Monday. So let's move on to who has a real chance at winning the coveted mirror ball trophy.
Thirteen celebrities will compete on the upcoming season of Dancing With the Stars. Along with Jersey Shore star Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino Troy Aikman, David Hasselhoff, Michael Bolton, Brandy and Hills star Audrina Patridge have all reportedly signed on. Other rumored celebrities linked to the reality dance competition include Deadliest Catch captain Sig Hansen and Kirstie Alley.

Not that his ego needs any stroking, but given the situation the Jersey Shore star's competition, background, and physique set him up to go pretty far on Dancing With the Stars. Admit it you've seen the boy dance, he's got some moves. DWTS's traditionally skimpy ensembles will surely help him get the popularity vote with the female audience since now he'll actually have an excuse to show off his abs. Plus, it doesn't hurt that The Situation has some experience acting and he's surely not afraid of the cameras.
Sizing up the competition, athletes traditionally do pretty well which means former NFL quarterback Troy Aikman will likely be a competitor. Brandy could be this season's Nicole Scherzinger seeing as how she has a performance and musical background. Michael Bolton will do well with DWTS target audience, but his dance skills remain questionable. If nothing else he'll at least have rhythm. As far David Hasselhoff, Kirstie Alley and Captain Sig, if they're on the show, well let's just say they're not likely to be to big of a situation for The Situation and leave it at that.
The full Dancing With the Stars celebrity lineup will be revealed on Monday, August 30 during ABC's airing of Bachelor Pad beginning at 8pm EST.
