Samantha Harris finally has a replacement on "Dancing With the Stars." The news was revealed on "Good Morning America" Monday morning that former champ Brooke Burke -- who has previous hosting experience thanks to E! show "Wild On," will take the mic alongside Tom Bergeron for the "Dancing" premiere March 22. Burke beat out other contenders for the spot, including Vanessa Minnillo and past competitor / "Bachelor" castoff Melissa Rycroft.
Tom had this to say about his new partner-in-crime: "She cleans up nice...She'll be able to talk to the couples backstage with the perspective of having been through it herself."
Samantha Harris decided to leave "Dancing" earlier this season to focus on her duties as an entertainment journalist. Her time on the show was marked with mixed criticism, as some people took aim at her for on-air gaffes such as misreading scores.
Brooke Burke may not be the most exciting choice from the standpoint of headlines, but she has a bright personality and a positive attitude that should shine through every broadcast. She was not on hand for the announcement Monday, as she was reporting vacationing with her family.
Do you think that Brooke Burke is the perfect replacement on "Dancing With the Stars?" Let me know your thoughts with a comment and stay tuned for more TV news.
