According to Yahoo! News on Wednesday, the new dancing cast of stars has been named for the 17th season of “Dancing with the Stars” – the extremely popular dance competition which begins airing again on Sept. 16 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC television.
As reported on ABC-TV’s “Good Morning America,” the list of celebrities who will dance across the nation’s television screens this season will be an extraordinary group of talented individuals from various sectors of the entertainment world.
Elizabeth Berkley known for “Saved by the Bell” and Showgirls” will be partnered with Val Chmerkovskiy. Corbin Bleu known for “High School Musical” will be partnered with Karina Smirnoff. Brant Daugherty known for “Pretty Little Liars” will be partnered with Peta Murgatroyd. Comedian Bill Engvall will be partnered with Emma Slater. Valerie Harper known for “The Mary Tyler Moore Show” and “Rhoda” will be partnered with Tristan MacManus. Former NFL player Keyshawn Johnson will be partnered with Sharna Burgess. Singer Christina Milian known for “The Voice” will be partnered with Mark Ballas. Bill Nye known for “Bill Nye the Science Guy” will be paired with Tyne Stecklein. Jack Osbourne, the son of Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne, will be partnered with Cheryl Burke. Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi who is known for “Jersey Shore” and “Snooki & JWoww” will be partnered with Sasha Farber. Leah Remini known for “The King of Queens” will be partnered with Tony Dovolani. Amber Riley known for “Glee” will be partnered with Derek Hough.
This season, the show will air one day per week – on Monday nights. The new plan is to have viewers vote for their favorites, and the couple will be eliminated at the end of each show based on the judges’ scores for that night combined with the viewers’ votes from the previous week.
