The new "Dancing With the Stars" 2013 season 17 cast lineup is reportedly going to be revealed by the end of the month, although an official announcement for "DWTS" is coming in early September. Already, the new cast rumors have been heating up, and among the latest news is that one of the pro dancers is leaving the show.
An Aug. 27 article from Christian Today states that just last week, Kym Johnson announced she is leaving the "DWTS" show for season 17. Instead of dancing somewhere else, Kym will head over to "accept an amazing opportunity back in Australia." That opportunity has been confirmed, that Johnson will join "Dancing With the Stars" Australia as a judge on the show.
Kym tweeted the news herself on Aug. 25, saying "So excited to share with you my new project, I will be a judge on DWTS Australia #istillcallaustraliahome." The 37-year-old has been a part of "DWTS" since the third season of the show, and has won the mirrorball trophy twice during her time there. One win came with entertainer Donny Osmond, while the other came with NFL star Hines Ward of the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Some of the rumored names who will be joining ABC's hit show for the seventeenth season include actors John Stamos and Seth MacFarlane, baseball star Jason Varitek, and "Teen Mom" star Farrah Abraham. Farrah recently said that viewers would find out as early as "this week" as to who will be in the upcoming cast lineup.
The official "Dancing With the Stars" season 17 cast announcement is coming Sept. 4 during "Good Morning America" on ABC and local affiliate stations around the country.
