"Dancing with the Stars" 2013 begins March 18 on ABC, and will feature an all-new celebrity cast including "The Bachelor" Sean Lowe. A string of "Bachelor" franchise alums took to Twitter on March 18 in advance of the season 16 premiere to lend their support to Lowe and his professional partner, season 14 Mirrorball trophy winner Peta Murgatroyd.
Show host Chris Harrison took a humorous approach, writing "I know there's no #Bachelor but good luck to our boy @SeanLowe09 tonight. Break a leg or both if that helps."
Former "Bachelor" Jake Pavelka, who competed with pro Chelsie Hightower during "Dancing with the Stars" season 10, added well-wishes of his own by tweeting a simple "Good luck tonight @SeanLowe09 and @PetaMurgatroyd."
Sarah Herron, one of the ladies who competed for Lowe's affections, mused over how her former beau would perform in the ballroom, tweeting "Curious how @SeanLowe09 will do on #DWTS tonight. Should be a trip to watch!" Lowe's fiancee Catherine Giudici expressed her own excitement with a terse "Today is the day! #DWTSMonday #teamMurgaLo."
Lowe and Murgatroyd, who were late additions to the "DWTS" cast, will open the new season with a foxtrot. Also scheduled to perform foxtrots, according to PureDWTS, are "Real Housewife" Lisa Vanderpump and show newcomer Gleb Savchenko, and comedian Andy Dick and former troupe member Sharna Burgess. The other nine members of the celebrity cast will perform either a cha cha cha or a contemporary routine for judges Carrie Ann Inaba, Len Goodman and Bruno Tonioli to critique.
"Dancing with the Stars" 2013 premieres March 18 on ABC with a brand new lineup.
