ABC announced the 'Dancing with the Stars' cast for season 12 with a live press conference which aired during Monday night's episode of 'The Bachelor'. Wednesday morning, ABC announced the completion of the cast by revealing the celebrity and pro pairings. Most of the cast pairings were predictable, but Kirstie Alley and Maksim Chmerkovskiy? Get ready for fireworks.
Maksim Chmerkovskiy is tough, his no nonsense attitude toward teaching Ballroom Dance has led to confrontations with many of his Dancing with the Stars partners. Erin Andrews, Brandy, Denise Richards, Misty May-Treanor and former Spice Girl, Mel B. have all felt the wrath of Maksim at one point or another. It seems as if problems are already surfacing between Chmerkovskiy and Alley.
"My partner, (Chmerkovskiy), is calling me 'G' for Grandma," Alley revealed during Monday's press conference. "He says I'm too slow. I call him 'M' for mean."
Dancing with the Stars 2011 is sure to be entertaining with the pairing of Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Kirstie Alley. His straightforward and sometimes demanding attitude will undoubtedly clash with Alley's quirky and oftentimes flaky personality, resulting in pure viewing pleasure for Dancing with the Stars fans.
Dancing with the Stars will premier on Monday March 21, 2011 at 8/7c on ABC.
