Speaking of which, there was a fascinating Groot character designed by Lee Hurley of Hurley FX put together a highly authentic Groot cosplay costume. In fact, it even caught the attention of director James Gunn and brother Sean Gunn. Photo opportunities were then taken with both the director of "Guardians of the Galaxy" and his sibling, the later who looked to be getting a piggy back ride from Groot.

It seems the Groot character is even influencing environmental cause as actor Vin Diesel, who voices the Groot character, plants a tree in the name of Groot as a counter challenge to the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge. Also, director Gunn acted in kind doing the same thing as a response to Diesel's challenge.

Also, even a dancing Groot tree toy put out by Funko, but it doesn't actually dance. It just appears to do so due to it's rather lanky appearance. It was thought to be the "first" toy put out by Funko which could suggest dancing variants of the tree character may be possible. This is likely in lieu of the dancing potted Groot scene in which he was dancing to the Jackson Five song as Drax, as portrayed by Dave Bautista, was cleaning his weapon.

"Guardians of the Galaxy" is in theaters currently and has surpassed "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" as the number one domestic block buster movie of 2014.
