Spearheaded by choreographer/dancer Galen Hooks and a handful of dancers in the form of Dancers Alliance, it took them two years to negotiate a contract with the major record labels. Galen was joined by various industry dance and choreography leaders and legends at Boulevard 3 in Hollywood to celebrate their victory.

Walking the red carpet included Michael Jackson's choreographer Travis Payne, Britney Spears choreographer Brian Friedman, members of Quest Crew, members of The Beat Freaks, actor Peter Kwong, Kenny Wormold and a host of other notables.

The night started off with raffles galore then the nitty gritty of what the music video contract encompassed was highlighted by Galen Hooks through a power point presentation. Capping off the night, was a presentation of the influential music video clips that highlighted dance including Michael Jackson, Paula Abdul, Aaliyah and more. Within those clips, original dancers performed their moves along with the music video clips with a big shouts of approval as dancers from Britney Spears' "Slave 4 U" video emulated the exact movement in her clip.
