A party at a Clayton County apartment complex turned into a double shooting Saturday night after a man allegedly refused to pay a hired dancer.
The incident happened around 7 p.m. at the Marquis Grande Apartments at 6726 Tara Blvd. near Jonesboro, according to Clayton County police.
Investigators said two men invited two women over to their apartment to dance for them, but after the performance one of the men refused to pay one of the dancers.
Police did not say why the man refused, but the dancer refused to leave empty-handed.
“The girl pepper sprayed him and one of the Hispanic males shot her,” police spokeswoman Officer Charlene Watson-Fraser said. “The other girl then shot the Hispanic male.”
Police have not yet released the names of any of the people involved or the conditions of the people who were shot.
It was also unclear if any charges have been filed as yet.
