Dance workshop with Travis Payne and 'Michael Jackson's This Is It' Dancers a huge success

On Sunday, January 24th 8pm EST, Best Buy Union Square hosted a free dance workshop to gear up for the big release of Michael Jackson's This Is It film coming out on Tuesday, January 26, 2010 in DVD, Blu-ray and UMD. Travis Payne and Michael Jackson's This Is It dancers were there to teach everyone how to dance "The Drill."

The turnout was amazing. There was a long line of New Yorkers standing out in the drizzling cold weather waiting for a chance to be a part of this monumentous event. Many had already practiced at home watching "The Drill" on YouTube taught by Travis Payne himself. There was everyone from dancers to fans coming out to have some fun. Although the routine can be a bit complicated for non-experienced dancers, fans admitted to practicing for many hours dedicated to learning the routine.

Everyone got to watch Travis Payne rehearse and take the stage with the dancers. All the people who showed up for the workshop had a great time and Ashmi Elizabeth Dang on Facebook wrote, "The rehearsal was amazing to watch and you all danced so well!" If you missed out on attending the workshop, all is not lost. Best Buy Union Square will be hosting the Midnight Release Event on January 25, 2010 starting from 9pm EST to 1am EST. Sony Pictures Home Entertainment and Best Buy will be showing an exclusive screening of Michael Jackson's This Is It with never before seen footage. After the screening you will get another chance to perform "The Drill" with the dancers from Michael Jackson's This Is It and see Travis Payne. An added bonus, Director Kenny Ortega will be there as well. DJ Egypt with radio partner WBLS 107.5 will be on site from 9pm to midnight.

Check here on how to sign up for the event. It was not mandatory to attend the dance workshop in order to go to the Midnight Release Event and dance. Now you have no reason to miss this!
