Dance Track Magazine presented the 2011 Artist Awards

Mar 28, 2011 – Dance Track Magazine presented the 2011 Artist Awards Sunday evening at King King in Hollywood.  The event celebrated supporting dancers, choreographers, and performers, in music, film, and television.

The evening opened with a performance by Gina Katon and The Eastern Block.  Award presentations followed in a variety of categories that included the Dancers in Solidarity Award, honoring Bobbie Bates for her longtime contribution to the community of dancers.  The awards closed with a performance by BEX, a country soul group headed by Shannon Bex, former Danity Kane member and NBA Portland BlazerDancer.

Dance Track Magazine is published by dancer, singer, and actress Sandra Colton.  Its mission is to “promote dance and all the things it encompasses.”  It explores the world of commercial dance and intends to inspire dancers to find their own dance track. 

An after party for the 2011 Artist Awards was held at club Voyeur, in West Hollywood.
